Welcome to St. Stephen's!
God in Christ is shaping us as a church
in the 19th Ward in Rochester, NY
in the 21st century.
Palm Sunday procession through the neighborhood.

  • We are a diverse community

  • We welcome and respect all people.

  • We honor young people as full and equal participants in worship and ministry.

  • We worship with joy and exuberance.

  • We are ministers of the Gospel of Love, Peace, Joy and Acceptance.

  • We are ecumenical: respecting all Christian traditions.

  • We are inter-faith: respecting all faith traditions.

  • We worship to be strengthened to serve.

  • We believe that God's love for all creation is unconditional.

  • We believe that God's power is best revealed in community.

  • We recognize that God isn’t finished with us yet. We are humble about our own errors and tolerant of those of others.

If you are as excited by the possibilities for worship, ministry and community at St. Stephen's as we are, we hope you will come and visit sometime soon. We would love to show you around and answer your questions.
