350 Chili Avenue, Rochester NY 14611
Welcome to St. Stephen's!
We are an Episcopal church committed to ministry with
those on the west
side of the
city of Rochester.
-
We are a progressive minded parish that
has sometimes been “ahead of the curve” with regard to women clergy,
liturgical innovations, and full inclusion of the LGBT community.
-
We value ecumenical relationships. We
see collaboration as an asset in ministry. Our history proves it!
-
Peace and justice, and public policy
are important issues for us. We take seriously our commitment “to
serve Christ in all people”.
-
We’re here to stay. For many years, we
have been a stable home for neighborhood groups and events,
including NA and AA.
-
Our weekly worship is grounded in the
Eucharist (Holy Communion). A joyous celebration that feeds us for
the work of the week ahead and challenges us to grow in faith.
Come and visit sometime soon!
- Mary Ann Brody,
Priest-In-Charge

Neighborhood Perennial Swap
Sunday, May 17th, after church Do you have a garden? Would you like to start one? Come to a perennial swap on
Rogation Sunday, May 17th following our service! Take some time to divide your perennials (plants and bulbs) and bring some to swap. Rogation Sunday is traditionally a day of asking for God’s blessing, on our church and on the crops planted in the spring. This is a good chance for us to get to know our neighbors, and to help them get to know us! Start thinking now about what you might like to contribute!
